Not hawiaan or bbq. I got the grilled fish (menu said mahi mahi but wall said "white fish"), and it was sad and boring and bland. My hubby said it looked like hospital food. The macaroni salad was also bland. The only good thing I found there was the katsu sauce, which was like a spicy ketchup. Never going there again & will not recommend to anyone. Ick!

My husband has been telling me about this place for months. I am finally in Grand Junction and I chose this to be my first lunch here in town. I had the chicken curry. It was delicious and massive. So much tender flavorful grilled chicken which was then covered in a belly spicy curry. The curry was reminiscent to mgr of a Japanese style, with some carrots, onions, and potato chunks running through the sauce. This fish was really lovely and I'll have it again. My husband has the bbq beef sandwich. With the pickled carrots and fashion, cilantro and cucumber garnish it was like the Hawaiian answer to a bahn mi. Also a winner! Looking forward to trying everything on the menu.

"Hawaiian BBQ" says the sign outside this small, off-the-highway establishment. This is a rare spectacle in Grand Junction; in fact it may be the only. So, it deserved a try when friends were in town. I'm glad we went! It's cozy inside, seats maybe 30 tops, but it's clean and has a large colorful menu. I ended up ordering the Hawaiian BBQ Mix in order to get a variety of tasty meats. It was delicious! Nothing was over cooked, flavors were unique, and the portion was suitable for a 6'4" hungry man. The hot and sour soup was much appreciated on a cold day, and the Thai tea was excellent. Don't plan on quick service during lunch time, and if you're group is bigger than 4 you will need to play some table-Tetris in order to sit together.

I was driving through Grand Junction and used this handy app to locate a restaurant, soooooo glad that I did! I had the Kalua Pork and was very pleased. The food was great and the owner was very nice and helpful! Highly recommended!

I don't know if this is as good as it gets or not. But I do know that Hawaiian BBQ restaurants are few and far between (I live in the Washington DC metro area and I don't have any close to me). This is a very good one. We focused on the lunch plate specials -- two scoops of rice, one scope of macaroni salad, and the meat of choice. First, the rice. Excellent. Second, the macaroni salad, very tasty. A little on the plain side, but it was all gone very quickly. Now for the meats of choice. One meat was the chicken bbq. Well grilled, moist, well marinated, generous. And the dipping sauce only made it better. The other meat was the chicken katsu, flattened chicken breast breaded and pan fried. Excellent, crispy, moist, generous. Again, the dipping sauce, different than for the bbq, only made it better. Servings were so generous we had leftovers to take home. Soups were included. They were OK. We chose to stuff ourselves with the main course. You order at the counter, staring at a big menu enhanced by pictures. It was hard to focus in on something specific because everything looked great. There are so many other things of interest that I can hardly wait to return. The one side dish we ordered was musubi -- grilled spam presented sushi style. Again, generous, delicious. If you have a chance to go here, I strongly recommend you do. This is a rare and special eatery. Grand Junction is lucky to have such a place.

Ate here rolling through Grand Junction on a roadtrip heading home to Los Angeles. There are Hawaiian BBQ's all over in L.A. and this one was spot on with the best of them. Ribs were good, Catsu chicken was right, sauce was right, place was clean. A+

Food is usually pretty good and the service is always friendly. The inside of the restaurant is always clean, although I usually don't see many people eating inside there, and the kitchen looks really clean from a distance!

Wow, it's like being back in the Isalnds, and very good Thai also! Loved it! Clean, Bright, nice service, thoughtful attentive staff in a counter service type place. I thought it was exceptional.
